Lomax in a league of its own - Posted 30th March 2005.

WHILE its favourite footballers ride high in the Championship, Lomax is also scoring with youngsters thanks to a special sponsorship.

The company is official sponsor of Durham Football Association's under-18s league which is being linked directly to the business.

"The training of young people is high on our list of priorities and we have been proud of the success of our apprenticeship programmes," said Swan Street Centre Manager George Lomax.

"Some of our apprentices play in the league so sponsorship of the Durham FA was a great idea. It gives us a chance to put something back into the area and into our young people."
