Tracking skills via the internet - Posted 1st April 2005.

The database, to be trialled over the next few months, will capture a widerange of details about each individual joining Lomax training programmes.
By logging onto the internet, Lomax clients will be able to view details of the progress being made by their own employees on current courses, courses completed and qualifications achieved.
Clients who want to participate in the scheme will eventually be able to plan their training programmes more effectively by having a complete view of the skills base of their employees, once the necessary databank is complete.
The system will provide Lomax with specific systems to track trainees toensure they are called up in plenty oftime for retraining and assessment tomaintain qualifications and registration.
Administration Manager Sharon Lomax says the new database will make Lomax much more efficient and provide new support for clients.
"It will provide us with a permanentand robust record of all the work we dowith each and every individual.I have no doubt it will bring major advantages both to Lomax and its customers.Return to Top of page
